The importance of self-love
It may sound a bit cheesy to say self-love. The importance of self-love is something we as people have not recognized as much as I think we should. This world is filled with everyone criticizing each other to get an upper hand every chance we get. A prime example of this is politicians and celebrities, we do them at a higher standard but media jumps on any opportunity to drag them across the dirt. There can be severe consequences to having enough self-love, like self-sabotage.
What is self-love?
Self-love is having respect for yourself, the acceptance and self-value you give to yourself as a person. A benefit to loving yourself is the ability to reflect that love on the people around you.
If you do not love yourself, who will?
Think about it, this phrase is true as can be. How do you expect someone to love you if you don’t love yourself. We must find the qualities that we find unique to ourselves refuse to let anyone take that away from us. Once you accept and embrace who you are, the world will be your oyster. Having self-love will give you an aura that people will notice.
The importance of self-love in the morning
The start of the day is the most important time to remember the importance of self-love. There are many exercises that you do to remind yourself of all the good and unique things you have.
- Remove all problems from your head and take 5 deep breaths. For each breath, remember what you have like a start of the new day, new opportunities, health. (more important than ever with the COVID-19 going around)
- Think about your plans or intentions for the day, what you want to achieve and how you are going to do it.
- SMILE! Smile at family, smile at your pet, smile for no reason. The power of a smile is eminence, and many studies prove this.
- Make peace with yourself, and with people that may have wronged you. Everyone deserves a second chance.
- Finally love yourself, embrace yourself, forgive yourself, accept yourself. Self-love is a romance that will last a lifetime with only benefits.
